How It Works
Before you start, Akompa configures a note format that reflects your usual style, based on one to five examples of your progress notes. You can also use one of the formats already available in the tool, designed specifically for psychotherapy documentation in Quebec.
1. You provide a starting point
Recording in Akompa, audio from elsewhere, a dictated summary, or a few key points: you choose.
2. Akompa prepares the note using AI
You get an initial note that you can adjust as needed.
3. You finalize
You copy-paste the revised note where you usually keep your client notes — and you're done.
Security and confidentiality at the heart of the tool
Akompa is designed to facilitate your documentation while rigorously protecting your clients' information.
Secure infrastructure, close to home
Data is stored on secure servers located in Quebec and encrypted so it's unreadable without authorization. This infrastructure is designed to comply with Quebec's and Canada's strict laws on personal information protection and to be fully compatible with your professional confidentiality obligations.
Data deleted as soon as possible
When you record a session or a voice summary, the audio is transcribed and then automatically deleted. Transcripts and generated notes are deleted after 24 hours on the free tier. On paid plans, they are retained for 48 hours by default, and you can adjust this retention period according to your needs.
AI in service of your practice, not the other way around
Akompa uses artificial intelligence (AI) to prepare your notes, but the data you entrust to us is not used to develop or improve AI models. By default, it serves only your own needs in Akompa Notes. Any use for improving our tools requires separate and explicit consent.
